In a month, the tax rate on business property will increase in Moscow by 30%.

Business fears have come true - from 2019 the property tax rate will increase by almost a third. The rate of 2% will be applied, a representative of the Moscow Economic Policy and Development Department told Vedomosti.

Most companies were expecting a rate hike, but less significant, and only budgeted 0.1–0.2 pp in the next year’s budget, says Margarita Trofimova, ILM Evaluation and Consulting Director.
