In February 2015, UCS leased a floor in a prestigious Class A business center located in the center of Moscow. All employees of the “front office” and top management moved to the new office. The main motive of this decision was to strengthen the block of "sales". The consultant for the transaction was the company ILM.

Initially, the task of UCS was to move to the office and later decorate it in its own style. But in the process of searching for the premises, the initial parameters of the request have changed several times. What was the main purpose of the move, and what difficulties had to be overcome, says Mikhail Aleksin, head of the Information Technology block at UCS.

“We had a difficult task to find a building within walking distance from the office on ul. Novocheremushkinskaya, 10, and which also can be arranged in accordance with our tasks.

The fact is that the specifics of the processing business requires that the office space meets certain technological characteristics and security standards. When ILM consultants already picked up an office building and coordinated all the documentation, and we held a tender for the selection of an architectural bureau from the BestOfficeAwards award winners, the building owner refused due to the sale of the premises. After this failed transaction, it was decided to abandon the premises “for finishing” because of the new risks and select an office space with interior decoration. In the search process, among the owners of the building, preference was given to foreign or well-known Russian companies. Together with ILM consultants, options in the Central Administrative District and Moscow-City were considered. According to the new requirements the most suitable variant was Class A Business Center in Zamoskvorechye. The procedure for agreeing on the issue of rent from the owner of the selected building in Munich was also not easy, but a joint deal helped to make it happen after all. ”

“In our work, we primarily focus not on interests, but on the final goals of the customer. When selecting premises, we take into account many factors, not only the area, but also the rental rate, location, number of required work places, the presence of special zones, etc. In the case of UCS, the technical requirements for the premises and the quality of telecommunication services served as the fundamental criterion for us, ”explains ILM’s managing partner, Andrei Lukashev. Our goal is not to offer the office that will be more profitable to rent out or sell, but to pick up the office that most closely matches the approved parameters from our own database of objects, which has more than 12,000 objects in Moscow. ”

The new office of the format "openspace" and an area of over 1500 sq.m. It is located on the second floor of a modern building at B. Tatarskaya str., 9. It was designed by the architectural bureau ABDarchitects in 2009, and in 2013 this project received the prestigious LEED fo rCommercial Interiors Gold Certificate, which was awarded for meeting the office's environmental criteria.

“In difficult times, it is especially important to focus on key elements of the business. In our case, this is a territorial association of client services of the company, which will allow clients to quickly resolve emerging issues with several departments," notes Mr. Aleksin. Of course, open space ", i.e. the complete absence of internal partitions and offices in the new office is not entirely familiar to our company's employees, but this is convenient: the opportunity for effective interaction between departments has appeared, and numerous meeting rooms allow us to ensure the proper level of confidentiality of any negotiations».
